Finnish chaga groats.
What is chaga?
Chaga is a mushroom that develops on the trunks of hardwood trees. In Finland, chaga was boiled as a substitute for coffee during wartimes, getting nickname "Tikka tea" or, "Woodpecker Tea".
How to use?
Add 1 tablespoon of chaga groats to 1 liter of water. Boil for 15 minutes, or longer to increase color and concentration. The same groats can be used several times - as long as it gives off color.
