Omega-3 – essential fatty acid for the heart, brain and sight
Omega-3 is one of the essential fatty acids. Our bodies can’t produce it themselves so we need to get enough of omega-3 fatty acids from foods or supplements.
Omega-3 can be acquired from fatty fishes such as mackerels, sardines and salmon. Other good sources of omega-3 fatty acids are flaxseeds, eggs and nuts.
The Eskio-3 fish oils contain plenty of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA, particularly important forms of omega-3 fatty acids). The Eskio-3 products also contain Pufanox®, a substance which protects the oil from oxidation and keeps it fresh for longer. You can also find a vegan omega-3 product in Eskio’s selection made from algae.
DHA helps to maintain normal brain activity and sight. DHA and EPA maintain the normal function of the heart. 250 mg of DHA and EPA per day is enough to achieve these favorable effects.
