Vitamin D is an important vitamin for the body, though it is difficult to get enough of it from nutrition. Vitamin D can be acquired from sources of animal origin, such as fatty fishes, cod liver oil, liver in general, eggs and dairy to which vitamin D has been added. Vitamin D2 can be acquired from plant-based sources, such as forest mushrooms. In addition to these, the skin produces vitamin D as the result of exposure to the sun’s UV radiation. Especially during the winter, it is recommended to include a vitamin D supplement in the daily diet. Get to know the selection!
