The homocysteine concentration in the blood can be normalised by an increased daily intake of B6, B12 and folic acid.
Arginine affects the production of nitric oxide. As for nitrogen oxide is an important factor in the regulation of blood vessels and it has an effect on blood pressure. Furthermore, arginine affects cholesterol, muscle strength and sugar metabolism.
Calcium from food can cause calcification of the blood vessels and clot them, unless you can simultaneously obtain enough vitamin K, which removes calcium from the blood circulation and binds it to the bones. In this respect the K2 form, which is produced by fermenting soy, is more effective than the vitamin K1 in plants.
