Finnish hemp seed is one of the most nutritious seeds in the plant. The seed contains the right proportions of protein, omega, fiber and minerals. It is easy to use because the seed is suitable for use as an adjunct to almost anything. A very good raw material for a ketogenic diet due to its really low carbohydrate content.

Hemp seed contains all amino acids

Hemp seed contains all eight essential amino acids for our body, as well as 12 other amino acids. Hemp seed also contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in perfect proportions for humans (1:3). It is also one of the few seeds with leafy green as well as valuable gammalinolenic acid (GLA) 4% and stearidonic acid (SDA) 2%. The seed also contains three times more vitamin E than flax seed.

The taste of hemp seed is a bit nutty. The seeds are good as such for snacking or lightly roasted in a pan. They can also be used for porridge, smoothie, yogurt, salad, cooking and baking. If you wish, you can also germinate them.

How to use?

Add to soups, salads, porridges, smoothie drinks, recovery drinks after sports, etc.

Hemp has excellent nutritional values. Hemp seeds contain a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The hemp seeds also contain plenty of unsaturated fats, such as omega 3, 6 and 9 and gamma linolenic acid (GLA). Hemp also contains plenty of protein but very little carbohydrates which is why it is an ideal component of a ketogenic diet. The proteins of hemp are also in an easily digestible form. Hemp is easy to add to a daily diet: for example ground hemp seeds can be added to smoothies, porridge or yogurt.

Seeds contain a lot of good fatty acids, dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals and vegetable protein. 100 grams of seeds contain 33–76 g of fat depending on the variety. Especially hemp seeds and flaxseeds contain plenty of the necessary omega 3 fatty acid, alpha linoleic acid. The recommended daily intake of seeds is 3 0 g. Seeds are an excellent addition to porridges, smoothies or salads – or a nutritious snack for hikes.
