Patented full spectrum amla extract
- 1000 mg of Tri-Low® amla extract per daily dose
- At least 350 mg of polyphenols, including ellagic and gallic acid and emblicanins
- Full spectrum: the polyphenols are stabilised together with the berry's own lipid fraction
- Four ingredients, no fillers
- Vegan, gluten free, lactose free, sugar free, yeast free and soya free
Amla, the Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis), has one of the higher polyphenol contents of any fruit. Tri-Low® is a patented standardised extract of it, and the point of the patent is the stabilisation: the polyphenols are held in the berry's own polyphenol and lipid system rather than being isolated out of it.
A daily dose of two capsules provides 1000 mg of the extract, with at least 350 mg of polyphenols, 70 mg of triterpenoids, 50 mg of alpha-linolenic acid and 70 mg of ALA diacylglycerols.
What full spectrum means here
Most plant extracts isolate one compound group and discard the rest. Tri-Low® keeps the polyphenols together with the fatty compounds that occur alongside them in the berry, which is what the manufacturer means by full spectrum. The composition is standardised, so each capsule is consistent.
What amla is used for
Amla helps to support digestion and contributes to the health of the digestive tract.
