An infant’s intestinal bacterial microbiota begins to develope after birth and continues until the age of two to three. At approximately three years of age, bacterial composition and diversity is most like those of adults.
A child is affected by bacteria from his mother, environment close to him and diet. Lactic acid bacteria are one of the first bacteria colonising infant’s gut, therefore the intake of these bacteria during early childhood is beneficial. The factors modifying a child’s microbiota the most are diet and use of antibiotics. Repeated use of antibiotics can shift the composition and overall diversity of infant’s microbiota for years.
Lacto Seven Kids contains seven different natural lactic acid bacterial strains (i.e Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) that are naturally resistant to gastric acid. During the production of bacteria, they have been protected by a special Bio-support™ technology made of proprietary blend of peptides and polysaccharide complex. This technology ensures the survival of the bacteria when they are passing through stomach acidity and reach the gut. In the intestine the bacteria attach to gut mucosal membranes and colonise.
Usage
Children over 1 year: 1 tablet a day. The tablet can be chewed or let slowly melt in the mouth. Make sure that the child is able to eat the tablet safely. Tablet can be crushed if needed.
Tablets contain also vitamin D3 which contributes to normal function of the immune system. A tablet can be given to a child every day after a meal.
A food supplement is not a substitution for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Sweetener (xylitol), lactic acid bacteria powder (lactic acid bacteria, maltodextrin, antioxidant: ascorbic acid), bulking agent (hydroxy propyl cellulose), emulsifier (magnesium salts of fatty acids), strawberry and raspberry flavours, cholecalcipherol (vitamin D3).
