The Finnish tea house Nordqvist has been offering high quality teas for over 40 years. Nordqvist was founded by Sirpa Nordqvist in 1979 and was a pioneer at the time as a tea shop offering spiced teas and loose teas. The tea shop located in Helsinki offered an extensive selection of flavored and unflavored teas and quickly won over the hearts of consumers. Nordqvist began to import teas for other sellers as well.

Nordqvist is known for combining delicious and aromatic ingredients, such as berries, fruits, flowers and aromas, to high-quality tea leaves. Nordqvist has created many iconic tea blends which have established their place in the hearts of the Finns. These include Keisarin Morsian (‘The bride of the emperor), Tiikerin Päiväuni (‘Tiger’s daydream’) and Teetaivas (Tea heaven’).

Sustainable and ecological teas

In addition to high quality, social and environmental wellbeing are at the heart of operations at Nordqvist. The factory of Nordqvist is located in Nurmijärvi, Finland. 100 % of the electrical energy of the factory and 95 % of thermal energy are from renewable energy sources. In addition, all products are packed in ecological materials. Nordqvist acquires teas only from actors who have a certificate for social responsibility.
