Lip balm protects your lips from external factors
Our lips are exposed to many external challenges throughout the day, such as cold and windy weather and the sun’s UV radiation. The lips are sensitive and prone to dry so they also need moisturizing regularly just like the skin on other areas of the face. Lip balms also repair existing damage, such as chapped lips. Lip balm keeps the lips moisturized, protected and smooth for a long time.
Lip balms are available for different kinds of problems as well as for basic everyday usage. Some lip balms include SPF protection and are thus better suited to be worn outside. Some lip balms charm with their delicious scent and taste and give a bit of tint for the lips as well. Vegetable oils such as shea butter, almond oil and jojoba oil are popular ingredients in lip balms due to their moisturizing and nourishing effects.
Lip balm can be used any time of the day – or night. Applying a bit of lip balm first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening before going to bed will keep your lips in good condition. Feel free to also apply lip balm as much as needed during the day.
A tip: use lip balm which contains peppermint when you have the flu, it will clear your stuffy nose in no time. You can also apply vanilla-scented lip balm in the evening to help you relax after the busy day.
