Collection: Inner Beauty

True beauty comes from within

Eating a diverse diet and taking care of your physical and mental wellbeing are the cornerstones which keep you looking and feeling beautiful inside out. Hair, nails and skin can be further nourished with beauty supplements and beauty drinks - all with a Nordic twist of course.

Beauty supplements for hair, skin and nails

Beauty supplements and beauty drinks contain the nutrients essential for the wellbeing of your hair, nails and skin: collagen, biotin, omega fatty acids and antioxidants. These nutrients keep your hair shiny, nails strong and skin glowing. The intake of these valuable nutrients can be secured with specific supplements.

Collagen

Even 70 % of skin consist of collagen. Collagen is one of the most common protein in the body and the main component of connective tissue. Collagen is found almost everywhere in the body, such as teeth, gums, bones, cartilages, skin and blood vessels. As the result of aging, the body’s own production of collagen slows down and eventually stops. This leads to wrinkled skin, stiffening ligaments and hair growing thinner. Collagen supplement enhances joint, bone and skin health.

Biotin

Biotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is a water-soluble “beauty vitamin”. Biotin is best known for its properties which enhance hair, skin and mucous membrane health.

The lack of biotin is usually shown as skin problems such as rash, acne, psoriasis, dermatitis herpetiformis (skin celiac disease) or itchiness. Long-term deficiency can affect hair and scalp and lead to even osteoporosis. Biotin supplement enhances the normal condition of hair, skin and nails.

Omega-7 fatty acids

The Nordic specialty, sea-buckthorn oil is an excellent source of omega-7 fatty acids. Protecting the skin and mucous membranes is an important function of omega-7 fatty acids. This effect is due to palmitoleic acid contained in omega-7 fatty acids. Sea-buckthorn oil is good for the skin’s elasticity and health and it suits well especially for ageing skin and skin exposed to external irritants.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants are compounds which protect the body from the negative effects of free radicals. Berries, fruits and vegetables are naturally rich with antioxidants. Proteins, fats, cell membranes and DNA are constantly under the attack of free radicals. Antioxidant intake can be secured with berry drinks or the Pine Extract Drink manufactured according to a recipe based on ancient Finnish folk traditions.
