Goodio Calm & Balanced is a dark craft chocolate made with stone-ground organic cacao and four added ingredients: lion's mane, ashwagandha, L-theanine and reishi. The bar is sweetened with coconut palm sugar rather than refined sugar, which gives it a soft caramel note alongside the cacao.

Four squares is the serving Goodio suggests, so one 48 g bar lasts several days. The turquoise and peach wrapper also makes it an easy small gift.

What is in the bar

Ashwagandha is a plant long used in Indian ayurvedic tradition. Lion's mane and reishi are mushrooms with a long history of use in Asia, and L-theanine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in tea. One bar contains approximately 500 mg lion's mane, 500 mg ashwagandha, 100 mg L-theanine and 100 mg reishi.

Ashwagandha helps to support relaxation and mental wellbeing, and contributes to the body's resistance to temporary stress. Reishi contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Goodio's functional chocolates combine stone-ground organic cacao with selected plant and mushroom ingredients. There are three in the range: Calm & Balanced, Natural Focus with schisandra, lion's mane, rhodiola and cordyceps, and Sweet Dreams with chamomile, valerian, L-tryptophan and reishi.
