Blue Hour is a chocolate advent calendar filled with Goodio's handmade vegan chocolates. It takes its name from the sininen hetki, the short blue light that falls over snow in the Finnish winter afternoon before it goes properly dark. Behind the 24 doors are twelve of Goodio's flavours, each one vegan and gluten free.

Advent calendars for adults are usually either dairy-based or disappointing. This one is neither, which is the main reason to choose it. It is made in a limited batch each year.

Twelve flavours through December

The calendar contains gingerbread, Winter Glow, raspberry, sea salt, cinnamon bun, bilberry, sea buckthorn, minty cookie dough, peppermint, strawberry, orange peel and Caramel Crisp. Both dark chocolates and oat-based ones are included.

Goodio's winter range

Goodio: handmade chocolate from Finland

Goodio is a Finnish craft chocolate maker based in Vantaa. The cacao beans are stone-ground slowly, and the chocolate is sweetened with coconut palm sugar instead of refined sugar. Usage

Open one door a day from 1 to 24 December. The doors are in mixed order, so the right number has to be found each day.
