METTÄ = a traditional Finnish word for forest

METTÄ nordic is a story of the pure, pristine and exciting flavors of the Nordic forest. We aspire to share a piece of the Nordic forest magic with the rest of the world in the best possible way. This means carefully sharing only completely pure ingredients of the highest quality in their natural form with nothing added to them and nothing taken away. All the ingredients are provided in a sustainable and responsible manner.

METTÄ’s roots stem from our wild food collective, Helsinki Wildfoods, where we together with other wild food enthusiasts began our journey by rediscovering the delicious and nutritious natural foods our forests of the north provide.

You may be asking, why are we so crazy about Nordic ingredients? Well, because here in the Nordics, we are lucky to call the cleanest nature in the world our home. We have an abundance of natural superfoods that grow from the cleanest soil, are fed by the cleanest air and water and are strengthened by the midnight sun. This makes them that extra bit great, packed with nutrients and flavours.

We carefully select our ingredients and pack them in sustainable packages to protect their naturally delicate aromas. Our pouches are all 100 % compostable, down to the zipper, the inks and the glue we use. Our products really leave no trace behind.
