Liverin Milk Thistle is a Finnish food supplement containing standardised milk thistle (Silybum marianum) seed extract. Each tablet provides 200 mg of milk thistle seed extract, of which 160 mg is silymarin, corresponding to 5000 mg of dried milk thistle seeds.

The product is lactose free, yeast free, unsweetened, gluten free and vegan, and is designed to be used as a 2‑month course for adults. Liverin is produced in Finland and comes in an easy‑to‑swallow tablet form.

What is milk thistle?

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is native to the Mediterranean region and belongs to the Asteraceae family of composite plants. It is a striking plant with purple flower heads. The active constituents are found in the seeds and consist of six different flavonolignans, collectively known as silymarin. In Liverin, one tablet contains 200 mg of milk thistle seed extract, providing 160 mg of silymarin, which corresponds to 5000 mg of dried milk thistle seeds.

Usage

Recommended dosage for adults: 1 tablet per day, preferably as a 2‑month course. Swallow the tablet with water.

Not recommended for pregnant or breast‑feeding women, for use together with blood‑thinning medicines, or if you are allergic to composite (Asteraceae) plants.
