Many women know thin hair and brittle nails. The main structural component of hair and nail is keratin, a protein hardened with sulphur. Hair grows from hair follicles where cells push up forward new keratin, which changes into hard keratin fibers inside the hair.

Biotin, belonging to vitamin B group, is needed to produce keratin as biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. Nail plate consists of three keratin layers with lipids between the layers. Nail lunula, the white moon-shaped area is soft keratin, which is hardened to tough keratin in the nail plate.

Zinc intensifies the structure of hair and nails contributing to the maintenance of normal hair and nails.
